The Aumakue Spirit Jar is created and produced by artists Benjamin Diller and Christopher Matti. Each piece is hand formed in clay, placed in an outdoor kiln and fired up over 2000 degrees. Molten hot, it is placed in pits with banana leaves and wood shavings that burst into flames. The varying conditions of the process assures you that each is one of a kind.
